Minnesota outshot the New York Liberty 90-85, edged out the Phoenix Mercury 104-100, and controlled the fourth quarter to beat the Los Angeles Sparks 96-87. They kept rolling with a 101-93 win over the Portland Fire, swept a tough two-game road set in Seattle, and capped off July at home against Toronto.
What makes this run impressive is Minnesota's late-game poise. Seven of the eight wins came by single digits, with the Lynx averaging a blistering 96.0 points per game throughout the stretch. Instead of coasting on occasional blowouts, they are repeatedly executing under pressure when games get tight in the final minutes.
